The Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse is one of the most photographed Lighthouses in Maine. Easily accessable, you can walk right up to it and touch it! Be sure to take the short path at the far end of the parking lot. It leads to a stairway that goes down to the rocky shore for a perfect photo of the Lighthouse. Bass Harbor Campground is a "Lighthouse Passport Station" where you can have your Lighthouse Passport stamped. Passport booklets are available also.
