The Bass Harbor Logo was designed and drawn by Pat McAfee who, with her husband Tom, owned the Campground for 20 years. They have retired and now live across the road from the Campground and are great friends of the Campground. They are responsible for the Campground's name and for choosing the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse as its logo.

We are fortunate to be located between two of Mount Desert Island's beautiful landmarks: Bass Harbor and the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and take the opportunity to explore both the Harbor and the Lighthouse.
